Rashad is the Director of Communications at the UCSF Department of Surgery where he collaborates with various divisions and stakeholders to create and deliver targeted information to the university's constituents and prospective students. His responsibilities include managing the department's newsletter and social media channels, such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter). He works closely with faculty members to publicize their accomplishments and strategize ways to promote key initiatives, as well as collaborating with residents to announce their nominations and awards. Additionally, he engages cross-functionally with other communication directors across UCSF to ensure cohesive messaging and outreach.
